In Venice’s Castello district, I stumbled upon Ca’ del Sol, a mask shop alive with color, music, and creativity. There I met Hamid, an Iranian-born architect turned master maskmaker who has devoted his life to this ancient Venetian art. His vibrant workshop offered a rare glimpse into the heart of tradition, blending centuries-old craft with contemporary imagination.
